Clannad: A Gaelic word for family.

Founded in 1995, our Foundations giving reflects the philanthropic interests of it’s family member trustees. Funding areas include:

  • Human Services (poverty, crisis aid, hunger, housing, children’s services)

  • Environmental (land acquisition, land use, & land preservation)

  • Education (aid to disadvantaged persons, educational initiatives)

  • Humanities (cultural and art institutions, health care aid)

Clannad Foundation funds primarily in the states of Michigan and North Carolina. Of primary interests are smaller organizations in which the impact of its contribution may be readily evaluated. Funds may often be fully committed; however, any application received will be evaluated.
